Hard Rock Destination Wedding at Punta Cana, Kristen Ann and Wade

 

Kristen and Wade grew up in a small Delaware town. They’ve graduated together, shared many of the same friends, but they never dated. Not until later in life, when Wade wished Kristen a Happy Mother’s Day on Facebook, which ignited conversation that led to date at Timothy’s Newark Delaware.

Proposal was magical as Kristen explained. After asking all 4 of the kids for their blessing, Wade surprised Kristen with a proposal in their home.

They’ve chosen Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana for their wedding venue. Bride and groom wanted the beauty of the beach to shine, it was pretty important for them to have white sand and blue water as a back drop, so, the ceremony took place at Isla Beach. Also, they incorporated a Glass ceremony into the wedding. The bride told us: “We went to a local glass blower with our kids and each selected a color of glass powder. The ceremony was setup like a traditional sand ceremony, but the kids poured the glass into a vessel. When we return home, we will go back to the glass blower and each child will make a glass piece with the mixed glass powder from the wedding.

We included our kids in every decision we made, they are the center of our lives and we wanted them to be a huge part of our wedding. They helped us pick the resort, their dresses, the cake flavors, menu, etc.

Another touching detail was that the bride took a quote from the last late grandmother’s letter to her and incorporated it to her wedding dress. Kristen’s Grandmother passed away years ago, but their special bond still remains true. It was a special way to keep her close to the heart.

Kristen and Wade said that the most anticipated moment of the entire Hard Rock Destination wedding day was the First Look. It was a special time for just the two of us, Wade explained. Kristen was late, which caused a few jokes. We are each other’s best friend and we always find peace when we are together. Seeing each other before the ceremony calmed down any nerves and allowed us to stop and appreciate the love we share.

The reception was set up at Harmonica Gazebo with the highlight of the evening – hired entertainment HOTS Production with the Black and White Crazy Hour. The bride and the groom kept them as a secret from their wedding guests, but once the entertainers were on the dance floor so was everybody else, and that is how it was the entire evening.

Here is the bride and the groom’s words of advice for the future couples planning a Hard Rock Destination Wedding:

“Let the location shine, it’s beautiful and stops you from stressing over all those irrelevant details! We knew no one would remember the color of the tablecloths but we can guarantee everyone will remember the Crazy Hour!

The only people who know things were not as you planned are the two of you! A few details were lost in translation with our coordinator, but it didn’t matter to any of our guests!

Stop a few times during your day, look around and appreciate everything that is going on!”

We have a great pleasure to introduce our Hard Rock Resort gorgeous couple, Amber and Matt a high school sweethearts that life separated at first but then reunited again, speaking of true meaning of how real love always find its way, hey?

Since both of them shared same love for traveling and having huge wedding wasn’t never their thing, Amber and Matt chose Hard Rock Resort Punta Cana for their wedding venue. One more reason for choosing this Hotel was that Amber already visited Hard Rock Resort while on her business trip with her vitamin company LeVel in 2019 and she said that they all felt very safe and had so much fun, so she wanted the same thing for her family and friends as well.

Matt’s step mom Michele, who is at the same time best friend with Amber’s mom, helped Amber to choose a wedding dress. She opted for gorgeous Da Vinci laced mermaid wedding dress with sweetheart neckline.

If you are not already in love with this couple, wait until you hear about their engagement story! This will give you a serious heart eyes!

March 20th 2020 we were in Cabo San Lucas where he proposed to me, Amber told us. He wanted to propose to me on the beach at Lover’s Beach, however, that was the day that COVID pandemic started and president Trump closed the US borders with Mexico while we were there. Cringe! We had to run to the airport an figure out what was going on. It was a mess! We were not for sure if we were going to be returning to our hotel so he was unable to propose to me at the beach, but he chose a beautiful location on the 7th story balcony where we had spent a few nights and days whale watching in the Pacific. When he went to pull the ring out of the bag it flew out onto the ground in almost fell off the 7th story balcony but he caught it!!

I don’t know about you guys, but my heart just stopped a bit there!

Destiny and Gregory are every wedding photographer dream client! Absolutely gorgeous people! Both beautiful and kind, they were pleasure to work with.

The wedding took place at famous Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana Dominican Republic and couple of days after, we did the Trash the Dress photo shoot at nearby Macao Beach, amazing public beach couple of minutes driving from the hotel. We so are grateful that we had that extra time, more time to really get to know them.

Since Destiny and Gregory wanted their wedding decor to be very simple, but still have a nice ambience to match tropical scenery. Table centerpieces had a little greenery to match the stationary of the menus. The bride made the Menus and Table numbers herself. That was the only DIY at this wedding.

The wedding day started with bridal hair and make-up preparation at POSH Salon at the Hard Rock Hotel. Guys started their own fun in groom’s room. The ceremony took place at Harmonica Beach in front of La Isla restaurant in Hard Rock Punta Cana Hotel and the reception at Element Terrace.

The absolute highlight of the day was the bride walking down the aisle seeing the groom. She told us later on: “I was hoping not to cry, but I don’t think that worked out in my favor.” As for the groom, Gregory, he told us that: “the most anticipated for me was the kiss, I was kind of nervous kissing in front of all those people. I was even more nervous when the photographers said I would have to kiss for more than 10 seconds.” Lol that would be us, the Darth Vader of weddings :D.

Hyatt Ziva. Blondie and Dave’s Vows Renewal. Vow renewals hold a special place in our hearts, because it is always about celebrating life, love and marriage!

After a certain time, many couples decide to renew their wedding vows. The reason behind is reaffirmation of the love that they nourished for each other over the years, which very often got even bigger over the time. It always gets us right in the feels, because it gives us the real-life image on how, all those couples whose wedding celebration we got the honor of capturing on photography and video, will love each other after, five, ten, or more years.

Blondie and David are one of those couples that decides to renew their vows and celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in style at Hyatt Ziva, Cap Cana in Dominican Republic.

Ziva and Zilara are one of the newest hotels in growing region of Punta Cana. They are located in gated community of Cap Cana at Juanillo Beach, which easily can be one of the most beautiful beaches in Punta Cana. Zilara is adult only hotel and Ziva is family friendly, both all-inclusive and both quite sexy resorts offering ultimate escape to the Caribbean Paradise. Swim-up bars, infinity pools, numerous restaurants and bars all wrapped into gorgeous colors of white sand and turquoise Ocean. Now, you can see how all of this made a perfect backdrop for photos and video of Blondie and Dave’s vows renewal!

We got the honor to meet their daughter Keyon who gave us a little insight of how this love story started in the first place:

“25 years ago, Blondie and Dave Nelson were in the same place at the same time at church seeking the Most High. Spiritual destiny brought them together. Dave praises Blondie as the most virtuous woman he ever met, while Blondie praises Dave as a mighty man of valor! Now they have come together as one, serving others, traveling the world, enjoying children and grandchildren, family and a host of friends whom all adore them. As they continue to be the most loving and giving people, they have been called to be together a quarter of a century later and beyond!!!”
