Hard Rock vows renewal ceremony at a beautiful beach in Punta Cana, Anisha and Nitin

Hard Rock vows renewal ceremony at a beautiful beach in Punta Cana, Anisha and Nitin.

To quote Brides Magazine “A vow renewals are a heartfelt way to celebrate your love and reaffirm the promises you made to each other on your wedding day.” Exactly that happened one week ago, at gorgeous white sand beach at Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana.

“Our wedding was beautiful, but not what we wanted. Since everything happened so quickly, we didn’t really get a chance to plan anything. Since then, all I ever wanted was to have a little ceremony with our loved ones at some beautiful beach. Life got so busy that it took us 11 years to finally plan the wedding we wanted” Anisha told us.

The couple had symbolic vows renewal ceremony at Hard Rock hotel beach. They also added Mehndi (traditional form of temporary skin decoration in which decorative designs are created on a person’s body, using a paste, created from the powdered dry leaves of the henna plant) and changed their clothes just before the reception, into traditional clothes made by Sawan Gandhi, as the special nod to their Indian heritage.

Secrets Cap Cana, Audra & Tyler wedding, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Secrets Cap Cana, Audra & Tyler wedding, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Secrets Cap Cana, Audra & Tyler wedding. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Audra and Tyler met through friends at a local bar. It was closing time and they’ve exchanged phone numbers and never stopped talking after that. Tyler visited Audra at her bar-tending job every night and helped her study for college after she got off work.

3 years later, Tyler proposed in Keystone, Colorado at the top of a ski mountain. It was beautiful, scenic, and intimate. They celebrated afterwards with a shot at the mountainside lodge. They started a tradition of taking a shot and cheers when something happens to celebrate the wins in life… When they started new jobs, bought a house, got engaged and now got married. So, we too are joining this tradition with a huge cheer to this beautiful couple!

Since Audra and Tyler love to travel, choosing a Secrets Cap Cana, a luxury all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic was a no surprise. They told us that they wanted for their wedding to be intimate with only close family and friends so they can be able to talk to everyone. They’ve picked a neutral color scheme (white, tan, greenery) along with dusty rose because “we typically like things more simplistic and minimalistic… nothing over the top” they’ve explained. They had everyone’s names on oysters for their name as a place “cards”. Audra also DIY’ed the “take your shot and your seat” sign. Both the groom and the bride each chose their favorite shot that had tried at the resort in their first 4 days there. The one long table with everyone included was important and bride’s favorite piece. Also, they brought a Polaroid camera and guest book for selfies to accompany their note and signatures.

Bride chose a wedding dress that mixed lace elegance with fluffy, soft tulle. The boys wore tan pants and white long sleeve shirts to keep everything neutral and beachy. Tyler wore a jacket to stand out from the groomsmen. The girls had a pop of color, dusty rose, which matched the table decor as well.

We asked Audra what was the most anticipated or special moment of a wedding day and she told us that it was “Seeing each other down the aisle for the first time. We didn’t do a first look and slept separately the night before. We had to reschedule the wedding 2 times in the last year due to Covid, so it was a long-anticipated moment.”

And this is their grain of wisdom for all the future brides and grooms to be: “Don’t let small things become big things. Always talk when there’s something on your mind, marriage isn’t a game. Trust is also so important… Being able to be separate and do your own thing without worrying about the other person is so nice!”

Interview with our beautiful Hard Rock bride, Jen. Punta Cana Hard Rock Jen & Jason wedding.

Interview with our beautiful Hard Rock bride, Jen. Punta Cana Hard Rock Jen & Jason wedding.

We made another interview with our newest, amazingly beautiful Hard Rock bride. She shared with us very useful info for all future Hard Rock brides to help them with ideas and calm their nerves. Enjoy!

Q: Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?

A: True Love in Paradise! We have always LOVED to travel and explore beaches throughout the Caribbean, so we knew right away we wanted a destination wedding. After Covid cancelled 2 of our previous wedding plans to get married on a cruise we opted to uninvite everyone and Elope! This wedding was GOING TO HAPPEN come hell or high water! Our plan was laid back and simple yet elegant. We wanted colors that would highlight the beautiful natural backdrop.

Q: Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?

A: We kept it simple, a beautiful circle of flowers for the ceremony made with flowers native to the island. I had seen the LOVE sign in lots of other brides photos so I knew that was a must! We added in a knot tying ceremony for our wedding. We bought the kit off Etsy and the Officiant was able to incorporate it perfectly.

Q: What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets, centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding?

A: Our ceremony flowers were certainly the highlight of wedding. They were amazing and more beautiful than I could have asked. We opted to carry the flowers over to our bridal party as well. The pops of color were beautiful.

Q: Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

A: We hired a soloist that played the flute. He killed it! After our cocktail time/ Cake cutting we had a private surf and turf dinner at the pool. It was a gorgeous setting; the meal was delicious and we danced in the pool.

Q: Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail.

A: I had a terrible time finding a dress that I thought was “beachy” Everything I tried on felt super formal, hot, heavy, tight… I didn’t want any of that! After another bride recommended Lulu’s I figured Id give it a try! I order 10 dresses…Yes 10 LOL. Returned all but 2. Once I finally settled on “the one” I had a few minor alterations done and got a slit added to it. It was a great dress… Very comfy, light and beautiful!

I let the bridesmaids help with their dresses. Once we had the color figured out, we had them pick something that they both liked and felt comfortable.

The men were a piece of cake. I knew I wanted gray and white, so we just added in the matching pink ties for a pop of color.

Q: How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.

A: We meet many many years ago. At the time we were both Married. I showed Jason a house that he had bought to Flip. A few years later he had called me to list a house he had completed. I was excited to go meet up with him again. When I got there, he told me that he was going through a divorce… I about fell over because I was too. We exchanged many (many!) txt messages and a couple days later he came over to my house and never left!

He proposed to me on a cruise. We were in the Bahamas and got a day pass to resort. We were in the pool and he said “well I guess we should get married” I was confused. I said so are you asking me? Or??? I said yes and the next day we got off the ship and went to Diamonds International and I picked out a ring. Certainly not your typical proposal but our life is far from “typical”

Q: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

A: My special moment was getting to see Jason waiting for me at the altar. This was a 9 year and 4 kids later process (one surrogate baby). Seeing him tear up reaffirmed that this is the man that I want and will be with for the rest of my life.

Jason’s special moment was seeing me for the first time in my dress knowing this was finally going to happen

Both our dads passed away but we both know they were there looking down us on our special day.

Q: Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?

A: Keep it simple. Don’t worry about what other people think, you do what you want. Trust the process, Hard Rock PC has done soooooo many weddings. They have it down to an art! Once you are onsite the stress will all be gone. They will make whatever you want happen. Also, rent a golf cart the day of the wedding. Its nice to have to get around.

Isla beach Hard Rock boho destination wedding, Crystal and Jaylan, Punta Cana

Isla beach Hard Rock boho destination wedding, Crystal and Jaylan, Punta Cana

Best way we can to describe Crystal and Jaylan’s wedding were the words from the best man: “there must be something in water today”! LOL! There were happy tears all over the place! From the ceremony, when Crystal’s mom recited the song she wrote for the happy couple, all the way to the reception where Jaylan’s sister did not leave single dry eye in the room!

The officiant for the wedding was Jaylan’s dad. They wanted to show the appreciation and how much they love him by having him officiate the wedding. Also, Jay’s uncle MC the wedding because of his outgoing personality.

For the ladies, the wedding day started at POSH Salon at Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and for the guys at the groom’s room. Bridesmaids had gorgeous fuchsia dresses that matched perfectly with tropical wedding theme at Isla beach Hard Rock and along with the bouquets they were perfect color pop from the turquoise Ocean background. Crystal and Jaylan wanted their wedding to reflect their personal style, they envisioned mix of simple and upscale decor which was a hit in the center! They had quite a few DIY decor pieces like aisle runner and table centerpieces which matched bridesmaids’ dresses adding a pop of color to the reception decor. Ceremony took place at Isla beach Hard Rock, with Seaside Romance setup with changed drape color and golden chairs. Couple took inspiration for the ceremony setup from ultimate canvas so they choose simple yet gorgeous set up. Wedding guests had a cocktail just before the reception at Piano Gazebo. The reception was at Sax Pool with the table centerpieces they brought and upgraded cake table. The vibe for the reception was so serene with all bistro lights and love sign. Crystal said that she went back and forth with choosing the style of her wedding dress form princess fluffy dress to a boho fitted dress. After seeing herself in her wedding dress (that was by the way drop dead gorgeous!) she absolutely knew that was the one! The bride wore foot jewelry custom made from the same wedding dress as well as all bridesmaids which was a special token of appreciation.

Favorite part of their wedding day, bride and groom told us, was the fact that it was just absolutely beautiful and seeing all of their friends come together to have a great fun night together. They also loved the fact that it rained and everyone kept dancing and didn’t mind. After all, as per Dominican belief, they say it’s good luck when it rains on the wedding day!

Here is their love story:

Me and Jaylan met through my father one night Jaylan played on his pool league team and I had stopped to drop cookies off for my dad. After that we clicked and haven’t stopped talking since that day 2 years ago. After that moment I truly believed in love at first sight. Jaylan knows that Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year. We went to long wood gardens where they had an abundance amount of Christmas lights and flowers all over and he found the perfect spot under a bridge full of gorgeous lights and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was perfect as I already think Christmas is so magical and so was this moment. I think the most special moment of the wedding day was finally getting to walk down the aisle to each other after a crazy year with the pandemic. My advice for planning a destination wedding is just hang in there during the process it is hard and stressful at times but when you finally get to your special day it is all so worth it. Spend the extra money on things that are important to you. We did and we do not regret a single dollar. As far as marriage advice just love each other. Life is never perfect and obstacles happen. Get through them together. You will come out stronger. And always love and build each other up and be a power couple. Love always wins in the end!!

Hard Rock Resort destination wedding, Amber and Matt, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Hard Rock Resort destination wedding, Amber and Matt, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

We have a great pleasure to introduce our Hard Rock Resort gorgeous couple, Amber and Matt a high school sweethearts that life separated at first but then reunited again, speaking of true meaning of how real love always find its way, hey?

Since both of them shared same love for traveling and having huge wedding wasn’t never their thing, Amber and Matt chose Hard Rock Resort Punta Cana for their wedding venue. One more reason for choosing this Hotel was that Amber already visited Hard Rock Resort while on her business trip with her vitamin company LeVel in 2019 and she said that they all felt very safe and had so much fun, so she wanted the same thing for her family and friends as well.

Matt’s step mom Michele, who is at the same time best friend with Amber’s mom, helped Amber to choose a wedding dress. She opted for gorgeous Da Vinci laced mermaid wedding dress with sweetheart neckline.

If you are not already in love with this couple, wait until you hear about their engagement story! This will give you a serious heart eyes!

March 20th 2020 we were in Cabo San Lucas where he proposed to me, Amber told us. He wanted to propose to me on the beach at Lover’s Beach, however, that was the day that COVID pandemic started and president Trump closed the US borders with Mexico while we were there. Cringe! We had to run to the airport an figure out what was going on. It was a mess! We were not for sure if we were going to be returning to our hotel so he was unable to propose to me at the beach, but he chose a beautiful location on the 7th story balcony where we had spent a few nights and days whale watching in the Pacific. When he went to pull the ring out of the bag it flew out onto the ground in almost fell off the 7th story balcony but he caught it!!

I don’t know about you guys, but my heart just stopped a bit there!
